My boy McGill. by johnnyBgood! on 7 September 2012 2:32am

He's been a member of this site. He's sat alongside me or sometimes on my lap when I've posted my nonsense to you.

His death sentence should be in 14 hours but I've told Meg that I won't allow that. I'll pay any monetary costs to keep him pain free and in this house. I always promised him I'd throw him by his beautiful tail, over our fence to return to his hunting grounds. He's now supposed to end his life on a vet's table and be brought back to me in a box. No way, Meg
.

He's at the vet atm. I've just texted Meg asking her not to bring him home. I now feel at peace that he will soon be in peace.

John, not sure if McGill is a woofer or a moggie? I am a moggie man myself, cannot walk past one in a street without picking the bloody thing up and fussing it, had them all my life. we had to let George go a couple of years ago, kidney failure. so sad, but in the end Shirl and my daughter had to be with him at the vet, I was downstairs with the kleenex and a lump in my throat. miss him, but then, I miss my dad and crossroads too! thoughts with you mate.

So sorry, John. You must feel terrible. It is so hard losing a pet.

Thanks to all of you. I'm fine now but Margaret should have one of her rare drinks tonight.

John (wheelnut), you talk my language.

I just found out recently that he was given his name after a university in Canada. (I think I posted that on FB but not here).

The loss of a pet can be as painful as the loss of a human friend. Sorry that McGill is gone, but if he was in pain or suffering you wouldn't want a friend to have to endure that.

He was almost 20 (as far as we know). I'm just so used to him scratching at the door right behind me to come in, or saying owwwt.
I'm fine with his passing but he was a very special animal. I will never have another pet but Meg has told me that Marianne is going to adopt two kittens. Ffs. Marianne has just had 2 foreign hols with 2 days between. Planning to take the kittens with u next time, Marianne?
