Your favourite tropical place by ev on 12 October 2012 6:53pm

Well, I finally managed to relocate to a tropical country, and enjoyed coconut juice straight out of the coconut yesterday.

So, while on that topic, I might as well ask, "What's your favourite tropical place?"

Good for you, ev! So in which tropical country are you?

He's in Scotland with me, Loretto. Haven't you heard of Global warming ? ;)

We could have a new competition.
" Guess where Ev is ? ".

I'll give you a hint: It's not Scotland.

That should narrow it down a bit..

@John I think you mean Sue?

@Ev I could not live in a tropical climate all year round. Although my hands freeze in Connecticut during the months of November to April, I need the four seasons to keep my mind straight. Plus, I like the fall here. I really do. The summers are way too humid and we seem to be getting more heat waves, but I like this area. I have to say, December and January in Ireland are very beautiful too. I just like how the sky looks and how everything is barren.

Fair enough, but Ireland doesn't have fresh mangoes..

Not in December and January, but we could ship them in? :-)

Turks and Caicos would be my paradise Island getaway. But not to live there forever.

LOL Loretto, and sorry Sue. I had it in mind to post about your book Loretto.

I hope you're enjoying your new location Ev, I think you were in need of a change of scenery.

I dished out some (what I considered) big cash a few years ago to take Shirl to the Maldives for a special birthday. We went to the Royal Island Resort and Spa and, well, I now see how the millionaires live. It was great, all inclusive and absolutly beautiful, stunning stuff with 1 staff per client. BUT, by god it made you lazy! took two books with the intention to swop half way, did not even open the covers. So, well worth the trip but unless the Lotto comes up I wont be going back as its TOO nice, if you know what I mean?
I do like Thailand for the people andd the food. I Love Oz for the space and the laid back style but my all time fav place, so far, is Kathmandu and Nepal.
If you have not been to Disney Florida, it is what it is, and what it is is a great place, and, you dont need to take the kids, it has everything and is spick `n` span and very freindly.
We are spending a year or 18 months in the States starting next year.

I do like Disney Wheelrim, but Universal Orlando is my all time favorite. The Simpsons ride is great fun, the Harry Potter Ride is great too and of course every ride ends at a gift shop, just like Disney. Epcot is my fav world at Disney. OK when you are in states post message on the boards here when you are in or around NY area!!!
