He's a brilliant comedic actor featured in the films of C. Guest such as Mighty Wind, Waiting for Guffman and Best in Show.
I think Cori thinks he looks like MP.. I guess he does kinda from a distance..

Yeah, Fred Willard has been in the 3 recent Christopher Guest films, he occasionally does bits on The Tonight Show and has been a guest on billions of sitcoms.
He's also the only famous person I've ever met. I think it was in fall 1996, when my parents and I were at the Shaw Festival at Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. (This, as you might guess, is a festival where they put on plays by G.B. Shaw as well as other stuff, including musicals. I'm not sure what the common theme there is, but the plays often make points of social commentary of some kind.) During the intermission, I spotted him going into the Men's, and after doing some clever reconnisance under the pretext of getting a whole bunch of paper towels, I was able to confirm that he was somebody I recognised, but it took us until the next intermission for us to come up with his name.
My dad spotted him during the next intermission, and I asked if he was indeed Fred Willard, and he owned up. He and his wife had stopped at Niagara-o.t.L. on their way from from the Toronto Film Festival, where they had just shown "Waiting for Guffman" He asked where we were from, and when we told him "Rochester" he told us about an actress friend of his from Roch. who had just written a biography. "Lovely" seems kind of like a trite word but it really sums up the chat we had with him. He was very personable and curtious (how do you spell that?) and my mother says he's more handsome in real life. Anyway, when any of us sees him we do a double take.
I haven't seen the most recent film (what is it? "The mighty wind?"), but I think the other two are some of the funniest movies I've ever seen and I'd recommend them to anybody.
