Id like to know what the other Palinites think about this writer,Im hearing so much about his(is it a man) books,I looked them up on Amazon and they do look very interesting, just my sort of Humour,I loved all of the Harry Potter books, but I do not like Lord Of The Rings,Id really like to hear your views on Lemony,Do you remember when I said that I only read Non Fiction,I suppose were all allowed to make mistakes....Best Wishes To You All...David

hi. i just read the unauthorized biography of lemony snickett written by... lemony snickett! it's maddening! well, it can be good for some laughs. but it's a stream-of-consciousness thing that kids might find amusing.
i've tried reading one of the books in his series. unlike the potter books which i connected to, unfortunate events had little appeal for me. i guess i found it too juvenile.

I'm 14 and have read all 9 books in the series and the unauthorized bio and I think they are ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!!! I laugh out loud, but don't know if kids the age that the books are geared for would understand dome of the humor.

My advice: just read the 1st one; if you don't like it you can always stop reading after that.

..real name is Daniel Handler and he lives in San Francisco. writes under the Snickett name. Great series...give the 1st a try. they are short so not much time involved. nice children and nasty grown-ups ....just like real life i guess.....

Hmmmm.......how things develope on this site. As some of you may already know, I really adore the 'unfotunate' series ;-). They're a fun, quick read with a marvelous sense of humor. Juvenile?!? Well, I suppose I'm a rather child-like 33 year old that just isn't ready to completely 'grow-up' *LOL* I like to think that there's something in the series to appeal to all age groups, but can appreciate how some may find them a little too 'below' their standards.
Thanks for listing the site ElizaTerry.....I'm anxious to see if there have been any more devoeloments on the film. I'll be sure to check it out.
kisses,
trixi
