saw Bend it Like Beckham last night... loved it! Nothing like a really great "feel good" movie...
Get the DVD and watch the"Aloo Gobi" special feature. Hysterical!

Jabberwocky keeps waving at me in HMV at the moment too, I think that might have to be a New Years treat!

I'm a total nerd and bought a ton of Seabiscuit figues. I collect these things.
BUT it is great movie. And I am still a nerd!

If at all possible... watch Rik Mayall Presents: Briefest Encounter. I'm not kidding.
I just saw 'Timeline' (but mostly because LOTR wasn't out yet) and fell in love with yet another Scotsman (this makes four at last count): someone named Gerard Butler. I keep wanting to call him 'Gregor', don't know why. (The other Scots are Ewan McGregor, Billy Boyd, and Alan Cumming)
and I'm ashamed to admit it, but I never saw 'Seabiscuit'. I went and saw 'Pirates of the Caribbean' for the fourth time instead. (and it was WORTH it!)

Wasn't Gerard Butler in the last Tomb Raider movie as well?

p.s. What about another fanciable Scot, Sean Connery?

Re: yet Another Movie to see by notquitenglish on 19 December 2003 1:10am

Oh sure, I like Sean Connery, but I grew up seeing him as Indiana Jones' dad, so I like him for that (rather than a 70-year-old sex symbol). Of course, anyone could tell you I'm not exactly 'ageist', considering my favourite people (Rik Mayall, 45, Billy Boyd, 35, Michael Palin, 60, Gerard Butler, 45, etcetera) are so much older than me (18).
