He was actually an ex-leper. I must confess to having to rewind that several times to....... *ahem* appreciate it. *wanders away, whistling innocently*

I was watching the LoB location docu earlier ... some poor young woman had the ghastly task of rubbing oil over him. Wouldn`t you just`ve hated that awful chore ...

Not bad for an ex-leper. =D
I remember reading he had to lose weight to play that part; they were going to shoot it early in the piece but they waited around til the end.

And I think it was real dirt/tan. Still, one can always dream, right Amy? =D

Yes. Dream very much so.

I wonder what all our friends think of us (if I may use the term) "lusting" over a man who's old enough to be my grandfather (indeed, my grandmother and Michael are the same age, but don't tell her that)... mind you, the present Michael Palin leaves little to be desired (but I guess that's what happens when you go up and down mountain ranges and across sand seas for a living)...

What was my point? =D

My friends do wonder, he is not grandad age for me but Dad age and is in much better condition than my own. Would go for a swap but I think my dad might get offended!! Where was the LOB documentary Louise is it on the dvd?
