An Official Plea to Mark McKinney by Helen on 29 February 2004 11:21pm

Please try out for the Gin and Tonic movie, dammit. You could be Michael. You could. And you would do it VERY well.
Try out for it...or...or...
Or I will start crying.. waaaaaaaaaaahhh.

Gwen, go to the thread called "walk like a python", it will explain the gin and tonic movie...they are looking for people to play the Pythons in a movie about Graham Chapman.
Mark McKinney is a very talented comedic actor who used to be a member of the Kids in the Hall.....I think he could play MP very well (not just because he has dimples). They need some very capable actors for these parts.. BIG wingtips to fill...
The "walk like a python" thread got me thinking...uh oh....

:)

interesting.
I have to say, i met MM a couple of years ago. He's a little......odd. Nice enough, but odd. Never really thought of him as one to play Palin, but it IS a thought.....
kisses,
trixi
PS-thought about it. My opionion is that Dave Foley would be a better choice. But (and no offense to Mr. Foley....I have quite the crush on him too), he would have to 'lose a few' to do the job. JUST a few. He has wonderful dimples and is the prettiest member of KITH when in drag.

Trixi-- You met him? *envy*
Dave Foley IS the prettiest in drag-- and so is Eric Idle---hey-- another thought!!!
:)

PS although Bruce M. as "Tammy" was pretty hot...

How do you think they would feel with Canadians playing them though?

Wasn't American Kevin Costner in Robin Hood insulting enough?

(I know, I'm American too, but I think I may be purist on this issue)

You're right, though....Dave Foley does make a sexy woman, as did Eric Idle....pretty scary!

Cub--- I hear ya! I think the talented canadian McKinney bloke would do them justice. Hence, I think it would be in capable hands. I've heard his accents-- and damn, he's good. he could teach Costner a thing or two! hahahahaaaa!

I think if Kevin Costner isn't given a part in this we'll be okay. :)

(he WAS horrible in that movie wasn't he! eeesh!)(good example!)
H

OOOOH! Lest we forget the horrible mangling of an english accent by Keanu Reeves in Coppola's Dracula!!!! CRINGE!
