Palin DVD's available in Canada? by sean_mtl on 19 May 2004 6:22am

Does anyone know when or if all of Michael's travel series will be available in Canada/North America on DVD? This could also mean being sold as box sets. I tried contacting the various BBC Shops on the net and a few video distributors here but with no concrete answers. My VHS copies are getting a little worn.

Thank you for your assistance

PS. Any idea if the accompanying books will be reprinted? I keep on gettting the same vague answer.... Is there a conspiracy going on?

One can always order them from amazon.co.uk. Granted that the postage will be a tad exorbitant, but its well worth the cost.

If you encounter any DVD regional settings problems, simply modify your player with the pressing of a few buttons on the remote :o)

sean, this is what I've been asking for some time! Let's start a petition or something.

Hi, Cori.

Wow! I was just reviewing a few other chat groups before logging back on t this one and found that there really is desire to get these items over here.

Starting a petition or something sounds great. Should we set one up as a new chat topic (and in which "room")?

beware before you buy...
Region 1 DVDs will play ONLY in US and Canada, Region 2 discs will play ONLY in Europe, Japan, etc.

Unless you have an "all-region" DVD player, you'll be wasting your money on buying a DVD from another region. Check your DVD player manual before you buy.

Sean, I'm sorry I dropped out for so long!

Webbie, please pass the message along - in this day and age it shouldn't be an issue to burn some DVDs onto "region 1" format. What's the dealio? Wouldn't you say about 40% of us are in N. America?

Look. If it gets their attention at PPP Ltd, I'll lift my shirt.

There. (There needs to be a much larger number 8 on my keyboard, know what I mean, nudge nudge.)

Hey, there, Cori.

Not being too savvy with the non-emoticon ways of expressing one-self on the internet (yes, I can be alittle lazy).... SAY NO MORE! A nod is as good as a wink to a blind bat! (or something to that effect!) ;-)D

The point is taken, the best is dead. Where is the beast? The beast is in the corner. Ambiguity is in the box and the fluff gets up your nose. Never mind the subject of word association football. Where we may B C D Effectively the wonders of human nature... oh don't mind me... It's only 4 am. It's been a loooooong day and I have to be up in less than 3 hours!!!!

And if MR. Webbie would be so kind to pass this message, it would be fantastic! Or else,..... I shall have to taunt you a second time! %-)D
