from bbc comedy blog :
Ronnie Barker
June 29, 2004

Just got news of an authorised biography of the great Ronnie Barker which will be out later this year.

Published to coincide with Mr Barker's 75th birthday celebrations, this will be the only fully authorised biography of the great British comic.

We're informed it'll be available from the 7th October 2004.

It's a celebration of his life and career, with original contributions from people who have worked with and know him best...

Such as:

David Jason a notable co-star and contributor of the foreword to this book.
John Cleese Frost Report co-star and a contributor to The Two Ronnies.
Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Eric Idle writers for The Two Ronnies.
Josephine Tewson a long time co-star from the '60s to Barker's final sitcom, Clarence.
David Frost.
Dick Clement & Ian La Frenais writers of Porridge.
And others.

p.s i don't think they wrote for the 2 ronnies i think it was for do not adjust your set :0)

Yes they did write for The Two Ronnies! All of the Pythons, minus Gilliam, were contributing writers for the show, but not main writers since they were doing MPFC at the time. I bet the sketches that *didn't* make it into MPFC were then sold to TTR & other comedy shows.
