I know quite a few fans from the United States would love him to do a travel series around their country. :-)

Retrace Cook or Darwin! by kiwi_in_sydney on 5 October 2002 11:53am

How about retracing the voyages of Captain Cook or Charles Darwin? There's a lot there--discovery, inadvertant battles with unwelcoming natives, the death of Cook, and the discoveries of Darwin. There are worse places to hang out than South America and the South Pacific.

how about michaels scuba-diving travels around the many seas and oceans of this planet?

I would love to see him circumnavigate the Atlantic. Parts of Eastern South America & West Africa could be a real challenge! I'd also like to see Michael travel through the countries of Central America. I was looking forward to him visiting there in Full Circle, but on the show he went from South America, central Mexico, skipping Panama, Costa Rica, Belize, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Honduras.

We know Michael is keen on railway journeys, but I wonder if he would be so keen on tracing the route of dismantled railways and the history surrounding them. Not sure if it would make riveting TV, although I'm not so sure. The terrain would be pretty awful - lots of brambles, ivy, trees to claw his way through. I live very near to the old Meon Valley Railway in Hampshire. It makes for an interesting walk.

Michael could come to Germany and destroy the myth that Germany exists only of Bavaria!! And I'd always grant him accommodation, you know... ;)
Hugs,
Lucy
