I keep wanting to call him Terry by notquitenglish on 18 November 2004 1:05am

Explain that to me. I keep wanting to call T... see I nearly did it again! I keep wanting to call Steve Coogan "Terry" He just looks like a Terry to me, I guess.

Anyway I like him. He's pretty funny, and he's worked with the Pythons, which gives him that aura of greatness.

What? On this forum, nobody knows/wants to know about Steve Coogan?

Hmm.

*thinks deeply about that before deciding she has better ways of wasting time*

I hate him. So much so that i ripped his face up after reading an interview with him.
It was mostly because he seemed to have become really hollywoodised and not really very genuine or 'Nice!' and also because he said that anyone that said that Partrige was his best work was stuck in the past and basically stupid.
I am one of these people, which i think is fair enough since his attempts to be like Phileas Fogg were not as successful as Micheal Palin's to say the least.

Whoo! That was *clears throat* definite.

Yeah he doesn't seem to be a very nice person, really. And he stutters when he speaks. Not that I have anything against stuttering! I don't! Really! It just got kind of annoying.
I dunno, I liked his "80 Days." It made me laugh. Plus it had John Cleese in it.

Policeman: Sir, everyone says a flying machine is headed this way and the bank thief is at the pedals!
John Cleese: Humph! People will believe anything.
Crowd Running Past: A flying machine is headed this way! The bank thief is at the pedals!
John Cleese: See what I mean?

The think I hate the most is trying to explain to someone who this or that person is. I can never be to much especific and the other person never gets anything of what I'm saying.

This related with keeping calling someone by a nickname.

If I say: 'Did you know that Michael Palin hosts this great travel program?'; people will tend to ask: 'Who...?'

But if I say: 'Did you know that Michael Palin hosts this great travel program?'; and people ask 'Who...?', I answer: 'The guy that stuttered in a fish called Wanda'
Only then they go all epifanic and exort: 'Ohhh... You mean Ken!'

Jeez...
