Message for CONSERVATIVES/POLITICS by Spursfan on 6 May 2005 8:37am

To CONSERVATIVES/POLITICS if you are still on this site now the election is over..................

*Anne sings* "You're not singing anymore, you're not singing an-y-moooore!"

(Apologies to everyone else but had to get that off my chest!!)

What happened to ignoring the trolls, not getting too political etc.?

I'm a bit disappointed, frankly.

Oh come on, finnguy, let me have my moment of glory!!

Seriously, the thread was entitled 'Message to....', so, with respect, you didn't have to read it, did you? I called it that on purpose so that other people did NOT have to read it!!!

Lighten up, m8!

You're right Anne, I didn't have to read it, but I suspect I will not be alone in reading it, even if I am not the intended recipient of the message.

While I recognise that you are a genuine Palin fan, I have to say that in recent weeks some of your comments have been at best inflammatory, and at worst downright rude.

This site used to be a happy place where, even if you didn't agree with someone, you could still engage in (generally) light-hearted and friendly debate.

I realise that most of the problems have been created by the trolls - by their very nature one of their aims is to divide - but I just feel that we shouldn't rise to their bait and, as has been suggested so many times before, should just ignore them until they go away.

(Sorry if anyone (especially Anne) gets offended by this, but I just felt it had to be said.)

Finnguy, I wasn't being in the least bit rude in my message!!!!

I just felt that it needed to be said.

I wasn't even rude in my original message to the CON/POL troll (which I so easily could have been!). Just a bit of banter!

Anne, as Mr Howard himself said, the Conservative recovery is well underway. Your outrageous smugness, is shortlived and unjustified considering your party quite literally srimped into government!
The decline of the Labour government is well under way and will reach ever greater heights in the next 4 years of Mr Blair! However my parties injection of 'new' blood into their system, will ensure that the Conservative party will form the next government by the end of this depressing third term. Lets look at Labours dismal performance in the election. The loss of Hornchurch, Putney, Enfield, and Bethnal Green in London to name just a few, and on a regional scale has reduced Labours majority to 66
I am only too aware of how disapointing the overwhelming majority of the Palin community will be by the election results, but never mind Palinstravels.co.uk is true blue
Thanks Anne, and see you around in May 2009, when cyber space party campaiging will certainly play a leading role in my parties campaign. I am so proud of how palinstravels has turned such a strong colour of blue. I declare this the official Conservative site.

Oh and by the way Anne, I have no wounds to lick. I am proud of my parties on going success and of my own relentless site campaiging. Its obviously been a success( see the mini election results)

Nevertheless, WE are in Government, not you!!

The electorate have obviously seen through the Tories dirty tricks brigade!!

Campaigning on non-political sites is tantamount to Big Brother (and I'm not refering to the reality TV show!!).

Oh - and by the way Palinstravels is NOT blue or any other colour. It is strictly apolitical.

For the record, Anne, I fully endorse the last two paragraphs of your last message.

Regardless of the election outcome, let's hope we can all put the last few weeks behind us, Palinly speaking, that is.
