Michael Palin screensaver

I have a Michael Palin screensaver on my computer at work, and people keep asking me if he is a relative of mine. No one knows who he is. I think I live in a cultural dead zone. |

1st of all where did you get it ~ i want one!
secondly~ My friends are exactly the same but i always grew up watching 'educational' programmes with david attenborough etc but i never minded as it as they gave me a pool of knowledge but getting back to my point alot of my friends grew up watching programmes along the lines of 'trisha', jerry springer' and programmes of that nature ... my mates take the Pee out of me but i think they are just afraid they might learn something new instead of 'whens happy hour down the pub' and 'how many drinks can they get for a fiver!' ~ bless em i do love them to pieces though.... |

The thing about this site is that it is visited by people who do have an active interest in the world, its peoples, cultures, landscapes and nature. Hence you sometimes find yourself not fitting in with those for whom Jerry Springer, Richard and Judy and the Saturday National Lottery draw are the be all and end all of existence.
Don't fear, you are not alone and your questing mind will take you far, even as far as the Tuereg tribes of the Sahara, the Saunas of Finland, an audience with the Dalai Lama and even at that critical moment when life or death depends on you being able to answer the fateful question: "What is the airspeed of an African swallow?" |

Couldnt you have one of each? So the top half can be MP, and the legs can be Jonny Depp!! Or Jonny Depp with MP's face?! |

You must live somewhere in a remote and isolated region of the USA, AGM.
Australia also boasts a culturally `dead zone': Canberra, in the ACT! Most notably, Parliament House.
Seriously though, please inform us how to obtain the Michael Palin screensaver. I'm tired of the limited options offered through Microsoft.
You could always charge the suppliers commission for advertising it's availability.
And I agree with Anne, a divided screen, each with a half of a different celebrity, wouldn't be the same.

The screensaver I have at the moment I got from Google Images. I Googled "Michael Palin", clicked on Images, clicked on the picture I wanted, right clicked, and then clicked on Set as Background. Hope that helps! (Maybe what I have isn't a screensaver, maybe it's called something else???) I have the Radio Times cover from last October on my screen at the moment. Love the elephant. What a sweet eye! I think you can still get screensavers here on Palin's Travels as well though. Haven't tried that lately. |
