MICHAEL PALIN TO BE KNIGHTED by random_python69 on 9 June 2005 11:02pm

i think that michael pain deserves to be knighted for all that he has done for travel and comedy. i also think that all the members of Monty Python should be knighted but enough about that, if you thik that michael palin should be knighted then please write a little note in the hope michael palin will read it and get that warm feeling inside. also if there are loads of names then we can attempt to send it to the queen and make her knight michael palin and all the python members. YAY go michael. or perhaps it should be Sir Michael Palin... that sounds so much better. well, we can always hope so remember to write a little something to agree with this masterfull plan to get all remaining python member INCLUDING MICHAEL PALIN KNIGHTED!!!!!!!!!

Sir Michael Palin
it does have a nice ring come to mention it. Yes I do think he should be knighted. Monty Python did so much for comedy. Like today for instance. In my school, we watched the Holy Grail, all the people laughed so hard at all the jokes, even without any backround with the Python shows (I had to bite my tongue so I didn't excrete all my knowledge of the Pythons on them) (some of them memerised the lines already though) It is great seeing all people of all ages laughing at Python, so they should be knighted.

(would this make him feel all warm and fuzzy inside??)

I have nothing against his knighthood. But his grovelling to Attenborough on Sunday 19th june yuk.I lived in South america for years and even in the nineties Attenborough was only narrating series for the bbc.I do remember taking a beer with a couple from Germany who on filming in the jungle for some 2 months sold the film to you know who.Even to my returning home for a holiday I videode the movies shown on tv as the couple had never seen the finished product. Please dont forget those who do all the really hard work

Having spent the last 2 weeks travelling, standing on train platforms with my hands in my pockets, not understanding a word of the loudspeaker, the hot sun blazing down on the tracks and various trains, alighting on to the actual tracks from one train as another pulls away less than a metre away ........... thanks Michael - I wouldn't have done if it hadn't been for you! What an experience!
