Top 100 Documentaries! by ILOVEMP on 4 October 2005 5:03pm

Hi!
I have been a MP Fan for many years now (since I was 14 - am now 25!) and have just found this amazing site, and felt I should say hello to everybody!!!Also just thought I'd mention that there is a 'Top 100 Best Documentaries' on T.V and the ad for it clearly had several Michael's in it so look out for it! Here's hoping for a number one!

100 ? All of Mr. Palins documentaries should be in there somewhere. Is this a USA show your talking about? Or a UK show? Anyway, hello to you and isn't this a cool site?

Hi edmo1960!
It's on Chammel 4 on UK television, sunday at nine pm. It is a very cool site! Have already got some of Basil Pao's photos on my computers at work and at home. You're right, they all should be on the prog! Which is your favourite series out of interest, and are you from the UK or USA? Great to speak to a fellow MP fan!!!

Hello there,
I like the Around the world in 80 days series, although all of them are interesting. I live in California.
My main interest is in the people and places more than MP himself. But as a host goes he is very likeable(did I spell that right), very smart, and he makes the show very interesting indeed.
I tend to gravitate to his shows as opposed to others on the tube (TV).Anyway, enjoy the site. Spout off when ever you can, C YA

Awesome subject! So, BESIDES MP's docs, what are everyone's favorite / most memorable documentaries? What do you think will show up on the list?

I love any nature documentary where you know the poor bastard photographer had to sit still in the bushes for months to get the shot. The fact that they'd do that, so I can sit in the comfort of my living room and watch, well, it touches me.

* Michael Moore's films will show up prominently, whatever everyone feels about them.

* Walter Cronkite from Vietnam - forgot the title

* "Harvest of Shame" Edward R. Murrow

* Jacques Cousteau; David Attenborough; Desmond Morris; Jane Goodall.......

It's the top 50 documentaries.

There are plenty of good candidates for the top 10 so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
