Questions for the Web Master by tucsonmike on 17 November 2005 6:06pm

I was thinking (oh no, go take two aspirin and go back to bed)... Is there any way you could set up a system, where we would know who was on? The first thing I check is the chat area. It would be good if we knew if someone was on at the same time and we could speak with them.

Is there also a way, when you register, you can elect to have contact information displayed for offline purposes. I am on a network called Ryze
http://www.ryze.com
In your profile, you can allow people to check out your various contact info if you want. Example, you might allow them to email you, but not call you.

Thank you as always.
Mike

My daughter uses a system with MSN that enables her to determine which of her friends are online for a chat. I think some people prefer to access online chat when it suits them rather than being asked to chat when they don't want to.

Mike I don't know that the amount of use on the site justifies this work.

Hi Webmaster.

Is it possible to put a search engine into the Chatterbox?

I sometimes have difficulty finding old threads I want to use and it may reduce the number of threads on similar topics.

Good idea. I have thought that myself, many times. Another board I use has a search engine which is useful.

Yeah, I like the idea of being able to show if we're online or not. A lot of forums that I visit has a display to see who's on and it would be really useful for those who want to go on the chat room and see if there is anyone about.
A search engine for the chatterbox is good too, considering there are a lot of threads!
