The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Michael Wood. by tucsonmike on 24 November 2005 7:46am
I enjoyed his series Conquistadors. Now he is exploring different areas of the world. Tonight, he did the Greek Myth Jason and the Argonauts and Tibet.
I was teaching my class last night about China and Tibet so it was timely.
Michael Wood is someone else with a great presentation manner. Between Himalaya and this, China is getting its tourist Pound Sterling.
It was also on PBS. You can probably find stuff about it at

Here is the link for the Himalaya show.

Maybe the two Michaels can do a series.

I've been a huge fan of his dating back yonks *points to his DVD collection*.

As good as those series mentioned are, 'In Search of the Trojan War' and 'In the Footsteps of Alexander' are his seminal works, IMO. Well worth a looksee.

I too have been a fan of Michael Wood for yonks - in my case over 20 years.

He is so enthusiastic about history (which is what attracts me to him as I am too) - you just can't help enjoying his books/tv films.

He has more than likely encouraged loads of people to develop an interest in history, which in my eyes can be only a good thing.

And he is such a dish too! What more could you want - enthusiastic about my favourite subject and hunky too!!
