The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Received My First Edits. by tucsonmike on 7 September 2006 3:17am
Actually they are not bad but I thought I would paste the editors note.

Hi Michael,
I'm going to go through your book one chapter at a time, write down my thoughts and suggestions and send them back to you as I go so you can work on possible changes. At times, I may stop and wait for you to send a revision back to me. Just think of me as your most picky English teacher and try not to hate me too much!
In terms of your chapter One, I would actually make it a Preface and put it in italics. Then I would shorten it, I think if you just use the highlighted passages
It will be much more effective. The remainder is a bit of overkill and will be much more effective if you let it come out during the course of the book. The same with the list of demands.
Let me know what you think. In the meantime, I'll move on to your next chapter.

Very good, Mike! Sounds very positive.
