Sorry, Linz, your last sentence didn't sink in! Happy Birthday! Hope you had a good day.

I got home in time to hear the last five minutes of the interview. Got stuck on the Northern line.

Next week his diaries will be read on Book of the Week on Radio 4 (9.45 in the morning and repeated at 12.30).

Happy B'day, Linz!

It's also my cousin-in-law Scott's birthday. He was in a auto accident and has been classified as a quadreplegiac since May but he has been getting great therapy at the Veteran's Hospital for the last couple of months. (Finally, something our government is doing right!)

I called him today to wish him happy birthday and found that he'd just managed to stand unaided for the first time and for 30 whole seconds and he has managed to extend his time in the "standing machine" to 40 minutes. His goal is to be able to take a few steps by Halloween so he can do a "Monster Walk". A great birthday present for all of us!!! (He, his wife and I all have birthdays in the same week.)
