Amazingly enough, people come here voluntarity!

I had a salmon steak stolen by a friend's dog one day...I put my plate down and she entered the room like a stealth bomber, nicked the steak and vanished without a sound. Grrrr!!!

Tip: The best way to disguise a stolen creme egg is to hide it in one of those plastic inserts that you find in a kinder suprise egg. You might have to squash it a bit tho.

This reminds me of my father(I wasn't born until my parents were in their forties so I was born over a decade after this event). My father absolutely adored bacon. He was in Burma during World War II (in fact part of his job was to take signals to Mountbatten) and in his troop (is that the right word) were many Gurkhas. Apparently they were not allowed to eat bacon, so Dad always tried to be behind one in the queue for breakfast so he could have their bacon!!

He did, however, admire them greatly.

When I was sharing a flat some years ago we had a cat who took a whole chicken out of the fridge - the door had a tendency not to close properly sometimes. I got up in the morning to find the chicken on the kitchen floor minus one leg. One of my flatmates had people coming round for dinner but she still cooked the chicken and didn't tell the guests what happened!
