Letters to Santa by tucsonmike on 12 December 2006 1:26am

Yesterday was the holiday event at the railroad museum. This year, Tucson Romance Writers (the chapter is officially called Saguaro Romance Writers) set up a table based on an idea from someone last year to have the kids write letters to Santa.

Even though we had a Santa Claus there, it worked. The kids would forget to tell Santa what they wanted then come over. I think Elaine had more fun than some of the kids. The Postal Museum had a table nearby and gave us some of their cancelled stamps.
It was also sunny and nice. Fun day.

Dear Santa,

Please deposit £12million...

Oh and a lifetime's supply of Ben & Jerry's would be most considerate.

Dear Santa

A winning Euromillions ticket when the jackpot is huge (say, a mere £120 million?) and there is only one winner;

Somewhere for all the homeless people to call home, whether it be communal or their own place, whatever they prefer;

An end to the death penalty in ALL countries;

Enough food for everyone to eat;

An end to cruelty (I can't watch the NSPCC adverts) - both to our own species and perhaps more importantly to the other species we share this world with;

Spurs to win the Premiership plus FA, Carling and UEFA Cups this season

A ginormous bar of cadbury's milk chocolate

A stationers (I have a 'thing' about stationery - my husband reckons I'm Pauline out of League of Gentlemen!!!)

Johnny Depp, Jim Morrison (ex Doors NOT James Morrison), U2 and the Doors to hang round waiting for me to call. (Yes, I know Jim is sadly no more but this is fantasy right?)

That's about it I think!

I'll leave the mince pie and the drink as usual and the carrot and water for the reindeer.

Thank you

Anne

Santa is working on your requests. Anne, after watching Footballers Wives today, I think Spurs have a good shot. That entire team needs to be traded LOL!

Sophie, Kaz is correct. You already have most of that.

Blasi, I need to arrange a trip to Vermont for you to meet Ben and Jerry.

Dear Santa,

I would like Henry Higgins to be delivered to my door and then accompany me to the Embassy Ball.

Many thanks,
Missy

Anne, do you want me to head over to Paris and dig up Jim for you?

Re: Letters to Santa by Spursfan on 13 December 2006 8:07am

As a loyal Doors fan, I, along with legions of others, believe that JDM didn't die but went into hiding under the name Mr Mojo Risin (an anagram of Jim Morrison). This is what he said he would do.....

So it would be a waste of your precious time, Ellerd!!! Or perhaps I am a child of that period and it seemed right at the time.
