Clan clang clang. Someone's parked by the fire hydrant. Get the towtruck.

No Kaz, baked spuds are off limits. I have a repulsion just hearing about them these days. lol ;)

Re: Johnny vs Kazzzz by kazzzz on 4 July 2008 12:30pm

Yes, yes I'm sorry I retract aforesaid spudness and replace it with several dozen creme eggs and a whip.

Re: Johnny vs Kazzzz by peripatetically on 4 July 2008 11:03pm

I'll never give up my whip, Kaz. It's my irreplaceable signature, along with the confections.

Would you take a piccie of the beached whale and a bottle of Bailey's?

Oh would I ever, I'd like that more than anything!!!
Would you like a gourd covered in BIAMS?

Re: Johnny vs Kazzzz by peripatetically on 5 July 2008 1:52pm

Yes indeed, BIAM covered gourds any day! It's a deal, Honey!

I smell of roses, can't you detect it with your bloodhound nose ? Maybe those darned cats have ruined your sense of smell.

Re: Johnny vs Kazzzz by johnnythemonkey on 23 July 2008 2:50pm

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

V you know when you have cut roses in a vase and you leave them there a little bit too long and the water smells like rotting plants? THAT is the aroma de Johnny.

You've just made me go all nostalgic !

At my girl's high school we did Romeo & Juliet (where of course JtM's quote is from) for 'O'-level. When we were in the 5th year, the school brought in a mad scheme that meant people who had free school meals (I think it was, I know I didn't have to) had to write their names on bits of paper and post them in a box as they went in to dinner.

One day a girl from our form had put in a piece of paper with no name, just the (correct) quote: "That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" on it!!

The reason it was funny to us is that our Deputy Headmistress was a lady called Miss Rose (I am sure she has departed this world by now) who unfortunately had what we used to call a 'B.O. problem.

There was uproar, and noone knew who it was nor even which year, but our English teacher later said that she knew it was her girls (is this sounding a bit 'Jean Brodie'? It shouldn't - she was from Rhode Island not Scotland haha) and that she was proud of us for using the quote, i.e using intellect. (They never found out who it was and just for info, it wasn't me!!!).

The scheme didn't last much longer...

;)
