He is thankfully very rare - in fact only one has ever been seen.
He is found in a remote area of the UK known as Scotland, and feeds only on porridge and deep-fried Mars bars (ewwww). He drinks not water but only malt Scotch whisky. He NEVER touches whiskey and will do a weird dance over cross swords if offered the latter.
He has tartan plumage - but occasionally, especially in the winter, this changes to green and white hoops.

Thank goodness you didn't detail his mating call. |

If you're talking about me, you're at least leaving someone else alone. :) |

Are there any identifiable traits under the tartan? or are they too tiny to see? |

Well, I got here late, and my arm hurts so I'll just say that I love birds, wild and domestic. With enough love and attention, they make excellent pets, and the larger ones can be housetrained, though I think that takes A LOT of patience. I love watching the birds in my back yard--so funny and pretty and graceful.
Why don't you like birds, Anne? My grandmother had a superstition that if a wild bird flew into a house, it meant someone was going to die. She lived with us, but wouldn't set foot in our kitched because of the little roosters on the wallpaper! |
