I'm not really informed much on this Sasha guy. I've heard of him, of course and seen a few film clips of his work. But tell me. Where is he from, is he really gay and is he sane in real life?

Good question,patty.

His full name is Sasha Noam Baron Cohen,he is in real life a hetero-sexual intellectual. His mother Daniella is Orthodox Jewish, his father GERALD is Welsh, and he is 37 years of age.His partner Isla Fisher gave birth to a little girl who is now 2.
Sasha was educated at private schools in England, then went up to Cambridge University where he did a thesis on the part of Jews in the Civil Rights Movement. His first job at Windsor TV [a cable channel] resulted in him being sacked for making a lewd programme. His subsequent work has both amused and raised controversy in equal amounts, but he has said in interview that he will retire his alter-egos Ali G and Borat because they have become too well-known. Bruno of course may go the same way.
I have not seen the movie "BRUNO", but apparently it is gross and Sasha tries hard to make gays look completely stupid or ridiculous. He has offended many Muslims by carelessly referring to Osama bin Laden as [I quote] "a dirty wizard or a homeless Santa Claus..."

Why people have to resort to that sort of stuff makes me think they can't be successful any other way. if they really were good, it wouldn't be necessary.
