It sounds good - but I've got a signed copy of the Truth... Can I enter just for fun? I guess I can write something till the end of August.

Chris, anyone can do this! It is just for fun. I am going to be in London in August, will pick up two copies of the book, one for me and one for the winner! I just wanted to inspire people to write, so please do!

In case anyone is interested, here's a website called FiveChapters, it publishes a short story in five parts each week.

John, that's great! Isn't it wonderful to be able to get a thought and organise it on paper?

OK here's what I was thinking:
Because our stories are going to be 1000-3000 words long, I could start up a wordpress blog, with a google email address. (I'd make a seperate one)

I would share the password to the blog here so we could all have access to adding a post on it.

What do you think? Can't wait to read your story by the way. Is it about your dad's journey?

Loretto, not much good with computers so I will have to be mollycoddled with regard to copy/paste etc. No, its not about the old man, its a short Story called `Hannah`, and yes, MP gets a mention.... so, theres a start for us all. As for Grammer, verbs etc, dont make me laugh!

Re: Short story competition by Loretto on 15 July 2012 4:07pm

No worries John. Here's what I've set up. If you can send an email, then your story will be put up on the blog.

http://thewordsonapage.wordpress.com/2012/07/15/hello-world/?trashed=1&;ids=1

Thanks for telling me the title.

Let's make that a rule. I won't open any mail in the google account until your real name first name and the title of your story appear in the subject box of the email.

Oh - so although we are writing 'incognito' you will know who we are?

I am not moaning, just making the comment.

I might put Hyacinth anyway....oh damn, was I thinking out loud?

:D

OK Anne, what do you suggest, I'm open to all suggestions.

The username for the blog is:
allofustogetherrighthere

The password is:
Aroundtheworld

You could just post your story there anonomously if you want?

Go to the top lefthand corner of the blog. Click on thewordsonapage and scroll down to click on New, then click on Post. Just follow the directions.
