Exactly watercub, I could not agree more. I think a lot of films were edged about by the LOTR machine.
I've heard good things about Mystic River and Lost in Translation.
Glad to see Coppolas daughter is following daddy. Glad to see she's not acting after her performance in Godfather 3.

LOTR is the best film EVER!!!!
11 oscars....11 Oscars!!

It's all a matter of taste.

LOTR is fantastic, i'll give it that, the film is a total perv fest and well done to Peter Jackson for making me cry three times. HOWEVER,All the hype is kinda ruining it for me. And Harry Potter will always be better to me because its what i read first. *shrugs*

>>those Coppolas are a talented bunch, aren't they.

I'm just glad she saw common sense and went "behind" the camera. Her performance as Michael's Daughter in Godfather III,was utterly atrocious. Her acting made me cringe.

What are the Oscars anyway?
Think--- Marisa Tomei got one for my Cousin Vinny.
It IS all a matter of taste, IMHO
but the LOTR movies sure are fun!

I have just seen the third Lord of the rings, though i am not a fan of the film,i can appreciate the hard work and dedication involved in making the film, the scenery is certainly breathtaking.but there are to many special effects for my liking,Also i found some of the names rather amusing..Aragon son of Morogon, brother of Dorogon,at least i was open minded enough to see all the films and give them a chance....David..

Has anyone actually read the Bored of the Rings book? It's hilarious *innocent grin* There's a really great bit where the Nosdrul are chasing the soddits and they try to get across the river and they're made to pay a toll fee!!! It made me laugh for hours. Small minds... i suppose, but nevertheless, i found it very amusing. Almost as amusing as Harry Potter and the Shameless Parody. Poor Lon! *snigger* anyway, this WAS about LOTR.

I think Fellowship is still my favourite. After all... it DOES have the fabulous Sean Bean. Mmmmm. Mmmmm. Man. Mmmmm.
