Hi all you folks in M.P. land, I thought as i have been watching this space and reading since day one of the site i should unwind these fingers and put in a little effort and join the gang of merry persons. My mame is Phyll from bonny Scotland( albeit freezing at present) and have been a fan of all things Palin/Python since i can remember, being 40 i can say at least 30 something years of joy!
I have been reading of Micheals meetings with you and this has been bringing to mind sweet memories with my meeting with the man himself last year at a book signing in my home town, Dundee in Scotland, I have a long suffering husband who lovingly understands the Palin Thing! He stood in line for me as i didn't finnish work till later i was able to slip into the shop where he had kept my place for 1/2 an hour, it was awsome to meet him he just ooozes character and is every bit the gent you would expect him to be, i had a brief chat to him about having something in common with him, the fact that i have experienced very bad bathroom conditions whilst i was in Africa, he sympathised then added "luxury" perhaps something had happened to Micheal far worse than we know about, he did make me laugh!, he is very hansome(understatement)and i was fortunate enough to catch THE holding glance just before he signed my book! ooooh the warm memories are taking over now>>>> I have a fantastic photograph of this meeting, Micheal must surely remember this as our digital camera ,i am sure has a bulb out of a lighthouse for the flash, I am positive Micheal couldn't see what he was signing for at least an hour after the photo was taken!!!!My darling husband Pete suprised me and presented me with a coffee mug with the photo on it,you send the photo away and you can have it placed on T-shirts ,coasters etc. the tea and coffee tastes so much better out of it!!!
My favourite film has to be" Life of Brian" and favourate song" Sit on my face" by the Python gang ,not a song for Grandma!
I hope this note reaches the site this time as i typed out a note yesterday and it doesn't appear to have arrived perhaps it is out flying about cyberspace somewhere or i am not as good on computers as i would like to think i am! Phyll P.S i didn't look at Michaels feet but i am sure they are just as perfect as the rest of him!

Congrats Phyll on meeting Michael, I'm assuming the 'luxury' reference is from the Four Yorkshiremen sketch from MPFC. As in -

"we slept in a box"
"a cardboard box?"
"yeah"
"luxury" etc.

rather than something terrible that happened on a journey. I think we know Michael has endured some awful situations but he's too modest to say anything and prefers to resort to comedy. And rightly so.

Hi Raxpus!
Did you say archeology major? as in, you are studying to become an archeologist? Wow! slow down! that is very cool, as i hope to become one one day!
Tell me the kind of things you have to do. If you do not want to talk about it here, then you can e-mail me at
[email protected]
On the other hand, if you don't want to talk in general to me, I understand. I may have misunderstood you.

hi all you Palintines thank for the warm welcome, feel at home already
Piglet2 if you log on to www.Jessop.com use link [email protected] and follow leads you even get 10 free prints. Just think you can have great fun ordering a set of coasters with a photo of a friend in an unfetching pose they would rather forget about, invite some mates over for refreshments of sorts and display the coasters around the table call them the talking point of the evening!! or have Michael printed on every thing from Mugs to jigsaws!!!!ahh just think he would be everywhere.
RichB well spotted "luxury" was said in the style of the said Monty P. Michael is so quick witted whilst retaining his charm. Phyllx

Welcome Miss Fruitcake . . . love the name you’re using . . . or is it your real name? :-)

Trixi – I will agree with you and I’m happy to agree with you, Michael does look ‘hot’ in ‘Full Circle’. Psst . . he still looks ‘hot’. ;-)

Welcome raxpus! And more Palinites keep coming. I’m sure they are lurking everywhere. There’s one now! Over there! Noooo, over there!!

Hello Phyll from bonnie Scotland. Welcome to the loony bin. Or is it called the Chatterbox? Could not agree more with your last sentence Phyll, “Michael is so quick witted whilst retaining his charm.”

Hiya Miss Fruitcake, Phyll, Raxpus :-}}

Very nice to meet you, welcome to Palin Land, as I'm sure you realise!!!!!

If you were looking for Michael Crawford, Michael Bentine, Michael Parkinson or Michael Caine, your in the wrong room. Try the next room on the right, not the room on the left as that's where you go if you want to have an argument.

As for Palinites lurking everywhere, I thought I might leave a trail of lovely gooey globs of spam and see if we can catch one.....

Shoo it over here Di, I've got the net ready..............admittedly it's a bloody big net, but it's ready all the same!!

"Come out, come out, where ever you are.............."
