Yah, we had a spider once that you could actually hear scuttling across the floor. It was about the size of a crab...

and yes, I do mean the rabbit....

Kath I'm assuming you saw "The Craic" with Jimeoin?
The golf reference gave you away! My friend Rob is in that movie actually, he plays the nasty Irish guy who chases Jimeoin all over Australia..he's a really nice guy!

Even if he DOES play golf with cane toads!!!

Actually Karen, no I haven't seen it!

I just grew up playing golf with cane toads! Or using a lump of wood with a nail in the end of it! Ahh the joys of being a Queenslander!

Cheers

EEEK! I like this "Blathering On" thread! Always outrageous! Well, for some reason, spiders don't freak me out (they probably should but...) -- RATS, however freak me out more than anything. Maybe this is due to the fact that the NYC breed tend to be as large as my 18 pound cat (nicknamed, Moammar)!

I'm Australian and i'm PETRIFIED of spiders! We're not all Steve Irwin!! lol. I hate cane toads too - they're so disgusting! In Byron Bay there are loads of dead toads along the road (haha, that rhymed). Hehe, I think golfing with them is an Australian tradition! :p
All this speak of spiders is freaking me out!! Now I feel all icky!

Speaking of Steve Irwin, I went to Australia Zoo yesterday. It was brilliant! Steve wasn't there though. He was probably still in Melbourne apologising to Tim Webster (sports presenter) after his snake bit Tim on the leg at the Logies on Sunday night!

For anyone planning a trip to Queensland, a day at Australia Zoo is well worth the money.

Cheers

Ilse - a cane toad is a kind of toad. They're HORRIBLE things! They're big and just.... gross.
Kath - I only heard about that Tim Webster thing last night on Rove. Hahahaa! I'm not a big fan of Tim Webster. BTW, I know I still owe you a letter, i'm being lazy! You will get it soon!
