Welcome jennywood (or 'just jenny')! I've never come across 'the Jennywood' before. Are dificult to recognize from a quite a long way away? (sorry, couldn't resist).
Mr. Anchovy-exact directions won't be necessary. Just nearest Underground Station and street corner or address will be fine. I now have the directions to Teddington Lock, so I won't need those. Thanks much!

Hello Mr Anchovy!
I thought it was time to introduce myself. I'm Karen from Melbourme,Australia, and have been a MP fan for ever! I've been to Germany and around Europe, and the UK where I put together a good part of my MP Memorabilia collection. I thought of you yesterday when I was watching Flying Circus and guess which sketch came on! Yes, it was about chartered accountant, the one and only Mr Anchovy! Anyway, good to have someone else to blather on to. I was lucky enough to meet MP a few years ago at a book signing, one of the biggest highlights of my life! Look forward to chatting in the future
See ya...Karen

Welcome pandk2! Are you going to make the current book signing as well? You'll have to fill us in if you get there. Have fun 'blathering'. You're in good company, we all do it so well here ;)

Hi Trixi,
I got onto this site about a week ago and am COMPLETELY addicted!
No, I won't be able to make the book signing, I will have to be content with my close encounter of the Michael kind a few years ago!
So which part of the world do you hail from? It's kind of hard to keep track...I'll have to keep a list of all my new Palinite buddies!
This is just the friendliest site ,I LOVE IT!!!
See ya...Karen

Hi ! Have just now gotten time to really start posting stuff, although I have been reading them ever since I found out about this site on pythonline in sept.(?); so here it goes:
1) my real name is Erin Martin, my screen name comes from my email, emartinou which is my name and the name of my school which is ohio university (ou). Nothing very creative, but usually I will forget my screen name if it isn't something relatively familiar.
2) I have been a huge fan of Michael's since this summer but an on again off again fan of monty python for a very long time. Holy grail and flying circus were always hilarious. I knew Eric idle and john cleese from other films but michael and terry (and terry) and graham were the "other members" for a long time. This summer I really got into Monty Python (I am still not sure why) and discovered Michael to be a simply fascinating person and then discovered the travellogues and that was it for me! He was so diverse in his acting and so funny (I have to admit that I found his accent to be totally cute)! Now I adore him and can't believe such a person has escaped my interest for so long!
3) 22 (23 in 6 days) a perfect age to really appreciate pythonic humour.
4) I really, really, really like to travel. I have so many dreams of travelling I don't know if I will ever get to go to half of the places I want to go . I recently have been to NYC for the second time, NJ, CT, was in the okefenokee swamp last spring break ( which was amazing! I would love to see MP there with the alligators feet away from you and sleeping on platforms next to the water! No pubs though, that could throw a wrench into things! Also to Cumberland Island in same trip. (Also amazing- wild ponies!) I've been to Canada (only out of country experience, and it hardly counts as it was Windsor)!
5) I am looking forward to travelling to Chicago for the second time to visit an old roomate and go a booksigning by the great Mr. Palin! So excited!!!!! I also hope to get to go to Ireland and England for a bit in the very near future!
6) I am from Ohio in the U.S. of A. I live in a little village (yes, village) next to a little city near Columbus. I already said that I attend Ohio University and I am currently studying Adventure Recreation with a minor in History. I am currently on the 5 th year of a 4 yr degree, and the end is in sight. I work at a video store (which I love) and I just got the dvd collection of MPFC for christmas!
7) I haven't actually gotten to watch any of the series on video, but I've read the books and listened to full circle on tape (that was good!) Sahara hasn't been released here yet but I have been reading it here and it seems great! I also enjoyed Hemingway's adventure as my friend who lives in chicago lives in Oak Park.
I also love this site and everyone on it!

Hi Erin! I like to think we're a friendly bunch of (bananas?) NO! sorry, my silly side got the better of me!
I'll start again, I like to think we're a good *bunch* of people, with a VERY good common "interest"! Only factor we disagree on is wheather spam is any good, or not. Vitaly important, eh! ok, waiting to be splattered by Ellen and Mary now!

Everyone here manages to crack me up everyday! Always starts my day off with a good laugh! I do hope Michael gets a chance to read these though because I think he would rather enjoy himself.

Absolutely positively sure??

OK. I'm going to count to three and when I reach three, shut your eyes really tight. Now I do mean tight. No furtive peeking or blinking accidently on purpose, right?

Right. Ready?

1, 2, 3............ Ooo, you were looking!! I saw you look, I did!! :-}}

Oh yes I did!

"oh no you didn't!"

Oh yes I did!

OI!! Come back!! What?? You thought I was going to do what?? Throw spam at you??? Spam!? Me?

Aww, would I throw spam at you??
What a suggestion!

Certainly not!

No, it's my Albatross that drops the spam on people, not me!!

My Agoraphobic Albatross who can only perform when his anonymity can be guaranteed, hence the eye closing you see.

Do come back, he's very good when nobodys looking of course! Hasn't missed yet!!??

Hello?
