Re: MORE introductions (for everyone) by Rusted on 24 January 2003 9:56am
Erin, my story of discovering Python and Michael is nearly the same. On and off fan (huge on HG, hadn't seen anything else) of Python for years, only really could recognize Eric and John. Was exposed to the FC series by a good friend and her mother who probably have wished a thousand times over that they hadn't since then. ;O)
So I got really into Python as a group, and all their endeavers, and suddenly found myself going, "Hey, wow, that Michael Palin seems like a really cool, funny guy! And he's cute, to top it off." ;O) And so that brought me to the travelogues and this website etc etc etc.

The only major difference is that my Python re-awakening was last October, not last summer. ;O)

Ello, I would *never* splatter you like that crazy looney and her agoraphobic (wow! don't hear that word much these days!) albatross!

Unless, of course, you join the pro-Spam ranks. Then I might have to bring out the soft cushions!

Ellen Im beginning to wonder if it is such a good idea for us to get together in Wellington. You do worry me sometimes. Is your loony disease contagious?
Re: MORE introductions (for everyone) by little-peep on 24 January 2003 9:43pm
Well, I'm a pacifist (my big word of the day)and since spam brings me out in a rather nasty case of hysterics, thinking of a certain sketch, I'm going to sit on the fence in future, but I'll humour you this once Ellen. Give your albatross his best shot!

Wow! God,that hurt

ouch! ok, it was not that much

ok,ok, i surrender, it didn't hurt at all! What do you feed him on?
Ello (hoping the meeting of MP in ? days will sedate Ellen and her side-kick!)

A confession here............. Eloise, I think you've found me out!?

There is a direct link between the level of loonacy in my messages and the increasing feelings of apprehension about being in the same air space as "you know who" (and I don't mean Dianne, bless her :-}}).

Madness x 3 = Sweaty palmed, white eyed terror x 10 !!

It's easy to be brave here with you guys!! :-}}

I admit it, I'm a fraud!!!!! :-}}}}}

LOL Ello. I use that word all the time...

"If you say that again I'll hit you! Well...errr...not really, because I'm a pacifist, but..." ;O)

Thankfully they've invented the virtual trout slap. Great way to vent frustration without hurting anyone. LOL!

Ellen...oh Ellen dear, I worry about you too. ;O) In a good sort of fellow loony (I am NOT - oh dear, sorry...) way. Heh heh heh heh. Just remember, Michael's a n*ce guy - breath deep and relax.

Now what's the magic day again?

~Mary (Is it April yet?)
Re: MORE introductions (for everyone) by Dianne on 26 January 2003 3:44am
Mary - do you ask total strangers if it is April yet? Also, I notice you protest too much about not being a loony. Which can mean, (and I'm sure it is true in this case) you are more a loony than the rest of us put together.

Ellen - I'm loony whether in the same air space as Michael or not. :-)

Re: MORE introductions (for everyone) by MissTrixiB on 26 January 2003 10:04pm
Welcome emartin! Sorry, it's a bit belated. I've been busy doing absolutely nothing and have a long list of more of the same that I must get through today, so I can't stay long ;) (just laying low and illin' a bit).
More newbies, or other intros that we have yet to see out there?
Re: MORE introductions (for everyone) by Tona on 26 January 2003 10:37pm
Hi my name's Tona

I've been dipping in to the site now for a couple of weeks. I'm a completely new Palin fan - but no less besotted I might add!! Read Pole to Pole latter part of last year and now just love him. Have spent all my Christmas money catching up on my lost Python years and am loving every minute of it - have not stopped laughing every night of this dreary January! Have also acquired A fish called wanda and have fallen for that dear stutter!!! he's old enough to be my dad but hey I don't care how old he is, that lad that did the routine 'Alms for an ex-leper' with that chest and that gorgeously sexy hair - hell!!! He does it for me everytime so who cares???!!!

Re: MORE introductions (for everyone) by Rusted on 27 January 2003 2:10am
Dianne, rest assured, I only ask what month it is on this site. Really! ;O)

Alright, alright, I AM a loony. I just enjoy quoting John's "I am NOT a loony" far too much. 8O)

As far as how loony I am compared to the rest of you, I don't know. I think Ellen may have me topped. :O) :O)
If it's any assurance to you guys, I'm only wacky with those I know well. I'm really shy so I'm quite normal until I'm very comfy with the person.

So you folks must be pretty cool. :O)

Tona, LOL. I hear ya!

~Mary (the writing loony)
