Babies Keeping Me Busy! by KikiO on 1 August 2007 11:00pm

In addition to my own 3 little ones, five, 3 1/2, and almost two, I have started babysitting a friends two children, three and 3 months. I am exhuasted....and it's only been two days!

I am also desperately trying to get my 3 1/2 year old potty trained. She's been a terribly stubborn little monkey and Mommy is getting frustrated!

Just needed to vent a bit. Thanks.

A 3 and a half year old potty trained ?
You surely jest. I know these stages vary from child to child, but my youngest daughter went straight from nappies, to going to the toilet on her own at 18 months. She just seemed to want to copy her sister and ' be a big girl'. I kid you not, I think she had one 'accident' after 18 months.
To assure you I'm not some kind of bragging parent, my eldest daughter wet the bed occasionally up until she was about 12 ( she would be so pleased with me for saying so ). We regarded both as normal. But at 3 1/2, I would'nt be thinking of potties, send the little monkey to the toilet !!

There's something scary in the toilet?
Guggling plumbing, knocking drainpipes a cavernous hole perhaps? and spiders. Or a five year old who likes to get their sibling fired up for a round of torture.x

Ginny, have you taken your medication ?
My wife has just gone to bed, but before doing so, she held my head back, pinched my nose, and poured what she considered a medicinal quantity of vodka down my throat. Being mentally unbalanced surely does'nt deserve such abuse of other's power over me. Does it ?

Have you forgotten what a sibling is capable of doing to a small relative, mentally?

Ginnyp.....I love you ! but don't tell her at the fishmongers, who I know has never liked my cousin......bastard .(not my cousin ) but him whom I skated with that hot summer when the carpark at Asda had the tar melting down the ice lollies on the teacher's shirt legs.

Kiki, God bless you. You have courage I cannot even imagine. Perfectly fine for you to vent here.
