Iquitos Peru & Amazon by harveybombaytiger on 25 August 2007 2:14am

Once again inspired by Full Circle I found myself in Iquitos Peru on a 10 day excersion up the Amazon River and into the rainforest. I made sure I visted the Belen District of Iquitos and took in the weekly Militery Parade where the soldiers march around the Palza De Armas. The highlight for me was swimming in the Amazon River in the rain and eating Piranha. Thanks again Michael...

It is a great place, isn't it! When I was there, I partook in an Ayahuasca ceremony with a shaman. An unforgettable experience.

Best wishes,
