I had fish for dinner yesterday but I did'nt give it a name. It was a headless trout, seemed pointless giving it a name but it's life was'nt pointless,it was very tasty.

She's a bit old for you Vibhas ( Jamie Lee ) and Kazzzz is FAR too old for you.

Such a funny movie! It's one of my all-time favorites. I've got the 20th anniversary edition (curiously put out in 2006, even though the movie is (c) 1988) with the commentary by JC (he NEVER shuts up! But it's interesting) and some extra features with him and Michael being very, very silly and showing how they did that scene where he's hanging out the window and how they faked running down Kevin Kline with a steamroller.

My favorite line: "Calling you stupid would be an insult to stupid people!" LOL!

SO many funny lines. Jamie Lee cute as a button and JC sexy devil. I HATED MICHAEL'S HAIR THOUGH!

Re: ooh... by mrsthing on 19 July 2008 7:17pm

Yeah, that hair was SOOOOO late 70s!

In the promo materials that came with my 20th anniversary DVD, they have a photo of JC's nude scene (with Mrs. Johnson's face covering his naughty bits), and they did some creative photo editing and gave him a MULLET! John Cleese with a mullet just looks so, so wrong! I actually threw it away, it disturbed me so much.

I loved the juxtaposed "love" scenes: Wanda and Otto's over-the-top passion v. Wendy and Archie's boring bedtime rituals. I love Wendy surreptitiously slipping her panties down--under her nightgown--eyeing Archie. Was she afraid he'd look? LOL!

I'm looking forward to Michael's account of the film and the filming in the next bolume of his Diaries

BTW, for those of you who feel JC says too many mean things about Michael, I was watching the "behind the scenes" material on the "Concert for George" DVD, and Michael says that having Tom Hanks stand in for John Cleese among the mounties in the Lumberjack Song was a better than even trade. So it goes both ways. LOL
