Tucsonmike Was Allowed to Fire a Gun. by tucsonmike on 19 October 2008 5:15am

Today was our day on the range. I fired a .40 caliber Glock (standard issue for Tucson Police). I am apparently pretty good.
I enjoyed the feel of the gun and the power, but also had a lot of respect for the power. I enjoyed the control I had over the weapon, but also understood that control is an obligation. It made me want an armed society that much more. An armed society, does not fall to tyranny.

The Second Amendment and some interpretation from FindLaw.

I suppose one more armed loony won't make much difference in America. :)

I did target practice with my father once, and it was really fun. I like games that involve precise aiming, but I don't even like to kill bugs. Still, as a female, it was empowering to know I have protection options.

Once when I was a little girl and I was alone in the house, I was scared there was an intruder. I went into the kitchen, and started sharpening the biggest knives we had, thinking the sound and sight might be intimidating, (and the knives would be sharpened too!)

Sue, it is not scary as long as you are in control. If you come here, I will take you to our local firing range.

Friday,I heard that my ex-mother-in-law had managed to cause the demise of 15 rats (with her brand new air-gun)in the quaint area of the South Downs of England. She was always dressed-up whenever I had to endure her. Now I'm frightened.
