Anyone travelled with AAT Kings in OZ ? by macpac70 on 1 May 2003 1:56am
I am all booked up to go on their Outback and Eastcoast camping adventure in June this year, and would love to hear from anyone who has used this operator, as far as their experience and memorable moments are concerned. Or indeed from any fellow travellers that may be joining me in June ???
cheers Graham

When I went to Australia a few years ago I took a tour with AAT Kings. I kind of went around the bottom right hand corner of OZ, from Sydney to Canberra, down thru towns like Albury and Beechworth, Mt Kosiosko (sp?), right down to Melbourne, then back up the coast via Ninety Mile Beach to Sydney.
Well, it was OK I guess. I love Oz, but AAT Kings are nothing special imho. They kept on showing us really boring things like coal mines and stuff. I had to pretend to be enthusiastic, as everyone else was loving it! Actually it was partly my fault, as I had just broken up with a young lady, and she was on my mind so much I couldn't think straight. Also we had some bizarre weather on the tour.
All in all, AAT were OK but the tour was a bore. That's the truth of it.
