So, who was lucky enough to attend this event?
What did everyone think?

I thought John held it together well.
I was heart broken to see Eric was there and I missed it - I would give anything to see Mr Idle!! I wonder why he's in the country...???

I loved the song by Bill Bailey and Robin Williams - very funny.

Not quite sure what you're referring to, Louise, but as SPAMALOT finishes 3rd January, it's JUST possible E.I. is here to be at the last night of that.

Am I going mad? I thought I posted a message on this thread, it has disappeared!

I didn't realise Spamalot was finishing on 3rd January! I wanted to see it again.

I am not going mad after all! I see that this thread was posted twice!

Oh, are you there right now, Sue? Hi! Yes, I think I saw it on the Undderground posters. You've still got time...and then, hopefully, it can tour to all these weird places like Wales & Newcastle.

It would be nice if EI came to the last night, though we shouldn't expect they'll all turn up for it. Worth checking LondonLite and TheLondonPaper around then for photos, maybe: sadly, it won't be on BBC News, though it should be! (Nearly 2 years, hasn't it done well?)

A few bits of this were posted on YouTube, but ITV blocked most of it. There's a clip with John opening the show, then some guy named McIntyre (never heard of him, sorry). There's Robin Williams, who was hysterical (but mostly for Americans), and there's Robin and Bill's song, and there's a short clip with some other comedian I've never heard of.

And someone posted a 10 minute amateur video of the stars coming out the backstage door. There's Robin, Joan Rivers, Bill Bailey (who ignores everyone waiting for autographs), Miriam Margoyles, Andrew Sachs (who wins the prize for fan pleasing) Barry Cryer, John Cleese (last one), and I'm probably forgetting some of them. But it was fun to watch. I'm surprised how popular John is--people were practically trampling one another to get his autograph!

John Cleese and Billy Connolly are similar in my estimation. Guys that were once funny but are now so up themselves and ' friends of royalty'. They are both pains in the arse.
Palin is a bit of money grabbing Yorkshire but has largely been true to himself.
