Yerbie is a Big Chicken. by tucsonmike on 31 July 2009 2:30pm

A sneeze spooked him. I let out with a blast of a sneeze. He ran as though he'd been shot out of a cannon. Elaine's cat, Lucy meanwhile, just sat there like a lump.

I'm still mad at Lucy for tripping me. My knee STILL hurts.

Orion used to be terrified of the vacuum cleaner and coffee grinder when he first adopted us. Took a lot of biscuits and Simple Solution to get us on the other side of that.

Tosun seems to think that the vacuum cleaner and the petrol-driven mower are rivals! We can't let him out whilst the husband is mowing - in fact he ripped the grassbox on the last one !

He doesn't always bark at the vacuum - just sometimes.

I don't tell him off - I just tell him that it's ok, the cleaner isn't:

1. Attacking Mummy
2. Taking over control
3. Loved more than he is

I give him a big hug and he is (usually!!) alright then and lies down and 'pretends' to go to sleep, watching me vacuuming from under his eyelids.

:)

Kaz, can you kiss Larry's forearm and ankle? Mud bees bit him while he rode the lawn mower. We discovered two nests in the ground which he managed not to see in time. We've never seen them around here until this summer.
