The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Henry Gibson by mrsteabag on 18 September 2009 4:04am
His most famous routine on "Laugh-In" involved holding giant flowers and reciting funny poems. He was lately on "Boston Legal." Another one who'll be missed.

What???.. another celeb hits the road,Jack??

I did watch him a load of times on the ultra-wacky US show ROWAN & MARTIN's Laugh-In; wasn't he the short guy that sometimes wore a German-Nazi's helmet, and ponderously came out with inscrutable things, which always ended with the punch-line phrase: "...MMMmmmm....VERY interesting....but.............."

Apparently,'Henry Gibson' was not his real name, which was JAMES BATEMAN. He concocted his pseudonym when he left college,by mispronouncing Norwegian author Henrik Ibsen's name--geddit??

He was 73.

I remember him mostly in the Blues Brothers.

What is it? Celebrity peg-out month!? What is it with all these celebrities dying for heaven's sake?
