Michael at Selfridges by suzulu on 19 September 2009 9:50pm

I got my book signed today by Michael at Selfridges. Only queued for 30-35 minutes so that was quite good.

I either get tongue-tied or babble at these sorts of things which is so silly. Could zip my mouth up, though, the stupid thing I said which came out all wrong. Oh well, at least we made some people laugh.

Ohh lucky thing! I know wot you mean though, when I've had books signed by Michael I've been the same and can feel my face glowing! What did you say?? Just look at the effect he has on us women ;)

Aha! Good for you! Before I can have my book signed.... he'd have to come to northern countries! (though I'm not higher than the top of scotland)

And I agree, you rarely sound intelligent when meeting someone you admire. (how did Terry Jones' swedish girl?? She must be reaaally smart) (joke!)

Yes, I sometimes wonder what I would say if I came face to face with Bono (apart from concerts)! I like to think I would say something intelligent about world poverty/hunger, perhaps - but would probably stand there with my mouth open, maybe even dribbling. HAHAHA.

:(

When I met Brian May and Roger Taylor I CRIED!!! How embarassing!

Very happy for you, Sue ! I will have to wait 2.5 weeks to get mine signed.
Don't worry that you said something stupid, I think that's pretty understandable:) I nver said anything intelligent myself when I met him in June. In fact, first thing I said was "Mr Palin, I came specially to see you which is maybe a bit embarrassing" to which he replied that it's not embarrassing at all - to my total satisfaction. LOLOLOL

Thank you, ev. Just might be the worst pun of my day! I thought I'd have to go to sleep without it.

He IS nice l think he's very aware of people's feelings. When i had a book signed once l had to queue for 4 hours and he apologised to me for the long wait !
