Europe's funnier side by Kris_Mole on 1 July 2010 5:55pm

Some of you might remember reading about me on this site a couple of years ago as I embarked on a trip I called The Great Euro Freebie Challenge, in which I ventured to every mainland capital city in the EU without so much as a penny in my pocket, to raise money for Cancer Research UK through sponsorships.

Anyway, I'm finally getting around to collecting all my stories from that journey together in one place, as well as others I wrote before and since.

That place is http://krismole.wordpress.com

Don't expect National Geographic or travel guide type writing. Instead expect humour, self-depracation, Mickey-taking, national stereotypes poked fun at, as well as honesty.

I'll be more than happy to hear your thoughts, either on here or in the comments section on the site.

Thanks....

No problem, Kazzzz. No point writing it if I can't share it with others :-)

Oh, Kris. I like your style. I read about your travels through Croatia to and Serbia. I've been to the former Yugoslavia and enjoyed it immensely. Looking forward to areas in the Germanic countries and Hungary, especially.

Glad you like it, Patty, and thanks for the feedback. I'll be looking to get a Germany story up later today some time.
Hungary will have to wait a little while as I haven't got it written up yet. But hopefully it won't take me too long.

Thanks, Kris. I was hoping you would mention many of the other cities enroute to Berlin, but you didn't. I've never been to Berlin but maybe one day. Most of my travels in germany itself, were in the south, middle and western sections.

Sorry about that. The way my stories go, it starts with the arrival in the city and then finishes on arrival at the next destination.
So when I put up the Amsterdam and Dresden stories later, there will be bits about the journey through parts of Germany.
