Omigod how ridiculous!! Don't these people realise that these things are put in place for their own safety while travelling?!!

Makes me sick.

As with everything there are two sides to the story. I see one side as being a rock and the other as being a hard place- no pun intended. I would rather be groped and scanned, preferably scanned though, to sitting on a plane and calling my family to say goodbye.

Yes, we need security but sometimes they can be over zealous.
Also, they also don't use profiling enough for fear of being accused of discrimination.

Yes I agree with you TOTALLY, Loretto.

In India we flew internally several times, and security was tight there because of terroism from Pakistan - there had been earlier incidents (this was back in March/April 2001). Men and women went to separate counters, and the female customs officer (or whatever) I had was a right battleaxe!! She looked through my handluggage and snapped at me to open this and that - she reminded me of Rosa Klebb!! I looked round and Zak was laughing and joking with HIS officer!! Pah!

Then you were searched again (I think) and finally, when boarding the plane men and women went to separate steps, and you were searched AGAIN on the steps!!

It was a pain, and compared to UK secutity at the time was OTT, but we both accepted it in good spirit because we knew it was for our safety.

I am totally in favour of ANYTHING that gets me from A-B safely and in one piece.

:)

In fact they were so over zealous once, Sean was 2 years old, they took his shoes off, took his Thomas The Tank Engine fork; but ya know what? Rules are rules.

Here's what I think of airport security:
