India on motorbike by on two wheels on 27 July 2011 6:03pm
During our motorbike trip to India we have travelled for a few months through this beautiful country, sleeping in a different city nearly every night. Kerala Backwaters were probably the single most memorable experience.
You need to be an experienced biker to cope with Indian roads and traffic. At first it seems that there are no traffic rules at all. After a short while though, you will discover that there actually is one - the bigger vehicle gets a right of way (which is not such a great news for us bikers...). Joining the traffic is particularly tricky, as you need to do it at a full speed. Nobody will stop to let you in and while the traffic is never ending and traffic lights are very rare you don't really have a choice.
We've put together some advice to anybody looking to go to India on a motorbike on http://www.cleverlocation.co.uk/kerala It's a great country to visit on two wheels but you need to be prepared!

Lovely site on two wheels. You might hate me for this but it does show that I actually read your post;

"You could expect these waters to be quite crawdad"
Shouldn't that be "crowded"? if it helps, great, if not I'll shut up right now! :-)
