New game ? by johnnythemonkey on 6 January 2012 8:40am

Your happiest memory so far of 2012.

Mine ? Kissing my beautiful boy at 'the bells' on the first New Year of his life.

Having lunch at our son and daughter-in-law's on New Year's Day. The food was excellent, and the cmpany was fun - we had a lot of laughs. And the bonus was playing with our grandson Alfie and laughing at his antics. (And he has his own ipad (as a lot of his contemporaries do), and is a WHIZZ at it already (at 21 months!!)

:D

A death in the family 4 days into the new year .
On the good side I repurpled my hair and got to see my fave cousin today who I rarely see. As he lives in Queensland.

On an outing last Sunday we went into a pub in St. Andrews and got a pleasant surprise when we saw that the Sunderland v Man. City game was being televised. I picked up the rest of the game on the radio and although Man. City got beat I wasn't too disheartened because I like Martin O'Neill, the Sunderland manager. Most of the other top English Premier clubs got beaten over the Christmas period and since then City have won 3 - 0 against Liverpool and United have been beaten again!

Sorry to hear about the death in your family kazzzz. Was he/she a close relative?

We have our grandson staying with us tonight. :) I had him for an hour on my own earlier and almost had him saying fcuk ! ;)

He's got a happy nature like no other child I've known and he really is better looking than his grandad. I've never seen Margaret happier in the 37 years I've known her.

We had a new year's day dinner for about twenty and I was the guest chef! It couldn't be done without help, but I did do the roast beef and the baked salmon...and the Asiago cream sauce for the broccoli and asparagus. Four generations of family, extended family and ex-family.

Good to hear that life is a wonder for you again, John.

I've always thought of you as a good cook Pete because of your earlier posts.

I am sure the dinner was delish.

:)
