Just out of curiousity, does anyone else like him? I wondered...
I decided if I get this movie made that I'm working on, he'd be perfect for this one character, so I took this picture of him and messed around with it, gave him the costume and all, and I was right... he's perfect.

i like rik mayall, especially in the young ones and drop dead fred. I think he borders on really obnoxious, but i still can't help but grin at his antics. wasn't he in one of the secret policeman's balls? I couldn't remember for sure!

I think Rik is fantastic!!!
I have been following his career for years now and was lucky enough to see him years ago in Melbourne...he came out on stage and the audience were in FITS before he even opened his mouth!

Did anyone see him and the other members of The Comic Strip in "Bad News"?
Just TOOO funny!

Rik is fantastic!
I saw him live too, in 'BOTTOM: An Arse oddity'!
It was fantastic, sooo funny and sooo over the top. And, I got in even though it was an 18!

He was one of the voices in wind in the willows with Michael-- i believe Rik was Frog...
AND can anyone confirm the rumour that he is set to play Peeves the Poltergeist in the next Harry Potter movie????? If so, then it is a perfect casting decision!
Rik is great....

Having never seen the Young Ones, I will say that I've read all the scripts.
And they just about killed me from laughing so hard.
My mom doesn't get it.
I said, (high voice) 'Do you dig graves?'
(low voice, for Neil) 'Yeah, they're all right, yeah.
and then I repeated the whole 'Do ants go to discos' conversation. She just smiled and looked confused and shook her head, like she does when I read excerpts from Douglas Adams at her.
