Might sound like vanity but I'd like if my friends here called me Johnny rather than John. Margaret tried to rob me of my very identity and forbade my old friends from calling me Johnny. " His name is John"
They never stopped calling me Johnny. They were less scared of the wee yin than I am. ;) |

Oh oh. Christmas is coming.
I never liked my name as a kid. My mother and three sisters all had names that started with the letter M, I felt left out. I know it sounds stupid, but try explaining that to me when I was five or six! Now I like it and I can tell who is pretentious and who isn't by who calls me by my full name, and how it is pronounced, and who calls me by my nick name.

LOL @ the 3 of you. Loretto is a lovely name, as is Karen. What can I say to you wheely ? Our parents must have thought for a long time before calling us John ! ( dad's name).
Loretto, I sometimes call you Lonnie. I hope you don't mind that. |

@John, that's fine.
@shut up, I mean wheels, my twin sister, when we fought, used to tell me that I was a tinker that the family found on the side of the road, keep in mind she is my "Twin" sister. |

So you are telling us you had a tough childhood Johnny? Think on mate, I had a tough upbringing, My dad got all our clothes from the Army and Navy Surplus Stores, I can tell you it was no fun going to school as a Japanese Admiral.. |

I was so ugly when I was born, the doctor slapped my mother!
Seriously, I was such an ugly child, my parents had to tie a pork chop to my leg just so the dog would play with me.
I'm getting used to it, though, apart from waking in a bad mood each morning...I still need to sneak up on my coffee...
The reason I'm as tough as I am is there were four of us guys in the family, and only three forks. |

We could not afford shoes so my dad used to blacken my feet and tie up my toes..
I had to wear hand-me-downs all the time, it would not have been so bad except tha I only had sisters...
I was also an ugly child, how ugly? well my mum would feed me with a catapult.. Mum was an awful cook, I remember her once having an awful accident in the kitchen where she burnt her feet, she explained that she was cooking a sponge pudding and it said on the tin...`pierce container and stand in boiling water for 10 minutes`.
Daft as a brush. |
