Fb and Turkish friends by perfectbitch on 16 June 2013 7:33pm

I have inadvertently posted this topic on Ken's post about Indian railways. To save me duplicating the message here, please read it - especially Anne. Linz

Now, that's rather confusing.

Sorry Ken, I thought that I had started a new topic - just got rusty on how to do it. Must be getting old!
My friend had been my au pair some 25 years ago and we lost contact but reunited on fb a few years ago (about 10). I met up with her in 2008 when was teaching near Istanbul. My daughter was also a fb friend to her and the same thing has happened there as well. I have now posted this on fb and it 2 friends have replied that they are still receiving posts from their Turkish friends which has made me a little concerned. I was in Cappodocia (far from Istanbul in distance and lifestyle) last March and there was no inkling of this potential unrest.
Anyway Ken, How are you doing? I do "drop in" from time to time but these days, seem to be preoccupied with my grandson. Another one is due next month. Take care, Linz

As I said on Facebook, I do hope your friend is OK. I do recall seeing in the news that Facebook and Twitter accounts have been disconnected in Turkey. So let's hope that is the only reason why you haven't heard from her.

I'm fine pb. Your friend seems to be closer than I assumed.
