I am sobbing with you!
BUT--- my husband works for a University bookstore that hosts book signings on a frequent basis-- he is going to try to get MP to get his terrific self out here (Connecticut). That's about 8 hours (by car) from the Canadian border.
They hosted Ann Rice about 5 years ago, and JK Rowling is planned to come out this year, so they can get the bigshots.
I will keep Blathering On posted....
Fingers crossed,
Helen

Aww, you're so lucky!!! I live close to Seattle, about maybe 3-4hrs? If he ever did a book signing there, I could go! Well, maybe not, I really doubt my parents driving me all the way there for Michael. Besides, there's school and I'm just dreaming, lol.

Hiya Helen, my old shoe buddy :-} and nottlob :-}

Empathetically sobbing here too for you both,"sniff", there is hope though,I read in the article about MP's book signing tour on PythOnline that he should be coming to the States in the late Spring after NZ/OZ. See it here:

Hope this cheers you up :-} if not wear your boots and treat yourself to a Pac-A-Mac in an alarming shade in preparation for the Big Day

That would be so exciting if your hubby could arrange a signing at his store, "Ooo" I can feel myself turning green prematurely!!!!!!!! ( Or perhaps it was the spam, spam, spam with a spam topping and extra spam pizza we had for tea tonight????????)

Ellen ( size 9 1/2 - 10 for old times sake :-})

Ellen,
You rule! i really need to check Pythonline more often...
Nottlob, it is possible to turn dreams into reality. I never thought i would have wing tips, but I do.
I will be looking for a Pac A Mac. Perhaps in a swell magenta shade...
