on average when travelling what is your normal amount to spend in one day when travelling.

Highly depends where i am. In India, you can spend as little as $3 a day. Or you can also spend $50 if you like. Many factors determine the cost. But if i'm in somewhere like New Zealand, then that rises dramatically and my money drains from my pocket in a matter of weeks. But in Asia, my average is probably about $8-9 a day. That's living quite comfortably as well. I'm getting lazy as of late, and tend to go for more comfort. When i first started travelling, i was spending about $5 a day in places like India.

How much do you think you could survive on at a bare minimum per day in the US?
And Godfather, how come you've had the time and money to go so many places? You're making me exxxxtrrrreeemmmmeellly jealous, lol. Godfather, are you actually Michael Palin, or am i jumping to silly conclusions?! LOL.

Hi Kidjuxta,

Money goes a looooong way in Asia. So you dont need much of it. The only westernized place i've gone to is a trip to New Zealand once, and my money dissapeared like smoke when i did that. So with the money i make, i'm pretty much restricted to Asia and Latin America (which is actually superb as it has some of the best and most varied travelling opportunities on the planet). But i still dream of days when i can sit in a fancy restaraunt in Italy with a glass of fine wine and attend classical concerts wearing locally made designer coats and that sort of thing..LOL..I hope to do that kind of travel at "some stage". But at the moment, most of those type of countries are off limits to my budget.
