a little bit of advertising about marillions new single and album .

yesterday marillion released a spiffing new single called your gone and in the May the retail version of their new album marbles comes out . anyone who likes good music ( i.s not the current spate of chart rubbish ) should buy the single and the ablum . there are 2 different CD singles of your gone and a dvd version . according to marillions web site www.marillion.com the 3 formats should cost a sum total of
8-99 (sterling which is about 12 euros) . the song your gone itslef is a nice drum and bassy type song but if you are not a fan of drum and bass
( and i am not ) don;t let that put you off it is a really good song . marillion want to try and get your gone into the brittish charts so i would appeal to any of the UK posters to this board to give marillion a go you should like what you hear !!!!!!! it is also availiable in holland germany and belgium .
i got my pre order copy of the album marbles this morning and if you buy this album when the retail version comes out in may your ears are in for a serious treat . marillion care about the music they write and play and boy you can hear that when you listen to the album . play it loud with the lights off may 2004 :0)
cheers
Linda
p.s i don't work for the band i am just a die hard fan trying to spread the word around about them . they are too good to remain a small band :0) |

They've never been the same since Fish left.
"Lavenders green, dilly dilly, lavenders blue"
They don't write them like that anymore!

first of all sorry izot i have dyslexia and can barely spell my own name right . i will adjust my first post as to your words .
second of all well done 2 sheds i am surprised anyone here has heard of marillion with fish . he left in 1988 so why not try some new marillion music .
fish's solo music kick ass too . try www.the-company.com to see what he has been up to since 1988 .
2 weeks ago i was in england and scotland seeing fish gigs . saw 3 gigs in the uk and the gig here in dublin last feburuary . brilliant gigs they were 2 . before you think i am sad , one of the others guys in our fish fan group , a dutch guy , did 17 gigs between the dutch gigs he saw and the ones in england and scotland . the group of english fish fans that i know did 14 . so i am not the worst :0) role on july so i can see marillion !!!!!!

Is this legal ??
Aren't you supposed to pay duty on alcohol ?
Or is it OK in Ireland ?
Just thought I should know b4 I phone the 'Garda Síochána'!
:-)
p.s. I liked Kayleigh and Garden party was OK but I wasn't a big fan. |

the pedantic bit about home brewing
by irishmanufan on 23 April 2004 9:07pm |

2 sheds it is perfectly legal to produce you own home brew as long as you neither sell it or distill it . you are thinking of potin which is distilled . usually people make homebrew for themselves and thier families
i do not sell beer and wine i sell the ingredients to ferment your own namely hopped malt extract and concetrated grape juice and yeasts ( and all the equipment ) . therefore i do not need a licence . we pay the same taxes as any other buisness would .
i have been in this buisness since 1993 ( my dad has been selling homebrew since 1987) so if i was doing something illegal we would have been caught by now :0)
you can get it in the uk (actually our two suppliers are form the midlands ) , europe and america as well . it is not just a thing confined to ireland .
we had a pallet load of homebrew delivered yesterday from england so there is not much room in the 2 sheds tonight !!!!!!!!
i will stop being pedantic now !
cheers
Linda
p.s izot don;t worry about it . you are not the first to point out that my spelling is bad . teachers in school used to always tell me that . i am not in the least bit sensative :0) however if you were to make a joke about me being fat i might not take it so kindly :0) |
