Finally, the Hitch Hiker's movie has an official website. They even have some pictures from the movie posted, and a self-interview with the co-writer, who wrote Chicken Run.

Hmm, will have to read the book! I started reading it, but didn't really get into it - I kept thinking, "this isn't as funny as Python". And went away to watch Life of Brian, in particular the leper scene.

..one of my favorites...have given all the books to the grandkids....and they are fans of Douglas Adams....but have to say that Terry Pratchett leads the way....(our MP excepted of course) too much good stuff and recommend all to all..no leper scenes in Pratchett Discworld series but really funny anyway...and thank goodness for a Douglas Adams in our universe....

Oh, yeah, you have to read them, Steph! I was into that before I even saw Python (or, rather, before I saw it and was old enough to appreciate it) and the author Douglas Adams was best friends with Terry Jones, writing partners with Graham Chapman, and in the last season of the show he popped up a few times in cameos. He's an honorary Python, pretty much. And once you get into the books, they're soooo funny....
